Lambeth Liberal Democrats busy deleting criticism of Chuka Umunna.

Rebel MP  is set to continue his battle against Brexit by standing for the Liberal Democrats in his own rock-solid Labour seat has been speculated abourt for Weeks.

And sources say Mr Umunna will seek to capitalise on his South Londonconstituency’s massive vote for Remain in order to overturn his own 26,000-plus majority.
The former Labour MP and five colleagues walked out of the newly formed Change UK party last week – sparking reports they were about to defect to the Lib Dems.
And there were suggestions that former Shadow Business Secretary Mr Umunna would inherit the Twickenham seat of outgoing Lib Dem leader Sir Vince Cable if he stands down at the next General Election.R
But sources close to Mr Umunna last night insisted he would stay and fight in his Streatham constituency, which recorded a 79.5 per cent Remain vote in the 2016 referendum – one of the highest in the country.
If the LIbDems want to run Chuka Umunna in Streatham  it seems that their previous candidate  Helen Thompson has been persuaded to step aside .

Certainly her twitter account  @Helen4Streatham and Facebook
ook  at StreathamWells  pages no longer to exist.

Maybe the weeks of speculation over whether Umunna was to Waka-Jump once again was due to the Streatham Liberal Democrats being persuaded to accept some one they have been criticising for years, even when he was with TIG or  Change .

It  seems that someone running the Lambeth Liberal Democrats which covers the Streatham seat has been busy deleting posts criticising Chucka Umunna which  seem to have read only last week ( I should have copied them) in a manner that George Orwell's O'Brien in Big Brother  would have approved.

I'm sure some will reappear though.

Of course most parties decry the opposition but the Liberal Democrats were attacking Umunna only weeks ago.

Still they're all friends now .
