Brexit supporter threatens Irish Gas supplies.

This recently appeared on Twitter.

Mr Vance  who seems to seems to be  associated with the American  AltNewsMedia

Which describes itself

is an alternative to legacy media. Dissatisfaction and trust in the mainstream media is at an all-time low. We have no political affiliation, we only wish to speak about the issues facing the world today. We do not associate with the alt-right or the alt-left. Our intention is to always report honestly and welcome debate from all sides. Challenging views we may not agree with is fundamental in a free and open society.
It appears however that he is a UK Citizen.

David Vance ran for political office as the East Belfast candidate of Traditional Unionist Voice party in NI in 2010. He achieved 1856 votes which was less than 6% of the votes in the candidacy. can't even read internet articles about ROI energy sources properly!! 😂😂

According to an Irish Government   website

Ireland’s natural gas comes from both indigenous production and imports. The indigenous resources include gas fields at Kinsale and Corrib. The Corrib gas field commenced production on 30 December 2015. It will greatly enhance our security of supply in that it will provide diversity of supply for the duration of its production.
Since the start of 2016, Corrib production accounts for approximately 36% of gas demand. It is expected that this will rise to approximately 60% in 2016/17 and approximately 50% in 2017/18. Thereafter production is expected to decline.
The balance of our natural gas requirement is imported from Britain. The price of gas on the Irish market is determined by the marginal cost of this imported gas. Gas is imported from Britain via a system of sub-sea pipelines from Scotland (interconnectors).
As a result, the price we pay for our gas as a commodity is set by the price of natural gas at the UK gas trading hub plus the cost of transporting it to Ireland via the subsea pipelines from Scotland.

There has been no indication that the UK government is seeking to threaten Ireland in such a way, but it is indicative of some Brexit suppoters , that they live under a delusion that they can threaten a member of the European Union in this case Ireland without facing dire consequences from the the other 26.

Bearing in mind this

So under 50% of our Gas supplies come from our own pipelines .

Unless Mr Vance believes, that a deal with Russia could be made which could be imported  via pipelines in the EU , he might want to reconsider his threats.

Another hard brexiter the tory MP and former uk govt minister priti Patel suggested the british govt consider starving people in Ireland in a bid to get a better brexit deal. So there you have it right wing brexiters want the irish to starve and freeze - tells you everything bout the revolting british chauvinists driving a hard brexit.
