Tactical Voter. "Will you still love me tomorrow".

I am maybe lucky in someway in that I am not faced with the option of voting tactically in Pontypridd

Indeed the latest appalling video for the campaign, by next doors Labour candidate  Chtis Bryant makes me more determined  to vote for Plaid Fflur Rlin

Mr Bryant said: "Here in the Rhondda of course it's quite specifically about who do we want to be the MP for the Rhondda.
"Who will we have confidence in when they stand up in the chamber of the House of Commons and make that argument for the Rhondda?
"Is it going to be the Plaid candidate, who is obsessed with the language and with independence for Wales?"
In response, Plaid Cymru's Rhondda assembly member Ms Wood tweeted: "I thought we had left these slurs against the Welsh language behind in the 1980s."
She later added: "The video appears to have been deleted. Does that mean he accepts his remarks were way out of order?

There is no Tory threat here and hopefully Plaid can make a good showing in all the Valley seats.

As Nation Cymru points out

One group that will have to think carefully is Plaid Cymru voters who nevertheless want to ensure that Boris Johnson does not win a majority.
If you’re a Plaid Cymru supporter but want to minimise the number of Conservative seats in Wales, the good news is that you can still vote Plaid Cymru in more than half the seats on offer (see the map above).
There are five seats where Plaid Cymru are either the incumbents or are favourites with the bookies to win at the General Election: Ynys Môn, Ceredigion, Arfon, Carmarthen East and Dinefwr and Dwyfor Meirionnydd.
But there are also quite a few safe Labour seats where there’s no danger at all that Labour will lose them to the Conservatives. These are Aberavon, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Cardiff South, Cardiff West, Cynon Valley, Islwyn, Llanelli, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney, Neath, Newport East, Ogmore, Pontypridd, Rhondda, Swansea East, Swansea West, and Torfaen. You can vote Plaid Cymru here conscience free knowing that you’re not putting the seat in any danger of a Conservative win.
There are a few other seats however that are a bit trickier. These are current Labour seats that are in danger of being won by the Conservatives.
Those most likely to change are Wrexham, Vale of Clwyd, Cardiff North and Gower. Also in danger but to a slightly lesser extent are Alyn and Deeside, Bridgend, Clwyd South, Delyn and Newport W
est.
There's evem a handy Map

But what of the other seats? The LibDem-Plaid pact seems to have failed to enthuse the Welsh electorate and signs of intention of tactical voting seems sparse.

But why should people vote tactically anyway?

Well the obvious reason would be to keep another party out in particular the Tories.

I can and indeed support this tactic in this election and hope that it it does result in a Tory defeat.

But what about after the election , will those Parties who benefited from an Anti-Tory vote acknowledge it and consider the opinions of those who held their noses and voted for a party that they have often campaigned vigorously against/

The reaction of course would be to end the First Past the Post, system in the next Non-Tory led parliament  and introduce proportional representation in particular  the Single Transferable Vote.

if Jeremy Corbyn in a weeks time was to be moving into Number 10 then he and his party should realise that he is there  with the tactical voted of those who did not want the Boris Johnson there instead.

For those in marginal  seats who have leaflet after leaflet  with little bat graphs and X can't win here  or worse Vote X get Tory , who follow that advice then they should be rewarded with the news that they do not have to do so in the next election.
