Rip Off Brexit will need Scapegoats and it could include you.

It could almost be part a section on BBC "Watchdog" or "Rip of Britain" , where are family are promised a Holiday of a Lifetime  only to find that the Holiday they booked to Euro Disney  is nothing like they have booked  and might not even have their booking.

The Wasting Mule reports that
Bungling cabinet minister Chris Grayling is facing calls for his resignation after he was forced to cancel a Brexit contract to a ferry firm with no ferries.
The under fire Transport Secretary had awarded a £13.8m contract to a company called Seaborne Freight to run vessels in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

He defended the contract even when it emerged that the firm had never previously run a ferry service and had no vessels.
But the Department for Transport (DfT), which he runs, has now had to cancel the contract after the Irish firm supporting Seaborne Freight stepped away from the deal.
Seaborne Freight had been due to run services between Ramsgate and Ostend to alleviate the pressure on Dover in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

A DfT spokeswoman said:

"Following the decision of Seaborne Freight's backer, Arklow Shipping, to step back from the deal, it became clear Seaborne would not reach its contractual requirements with the Government. We have therefore decided to terminate our agreement.
"The Government is already in advanced talks with a number of companies to secure additional freight capacity - including through the port of Ramsgate - in the event of a no-deal Brexit."
Labour seized on the situation to say Mr Grayling should quit or be sacked.
Shadow transport secretary Andy McDonald said:
"As we predicted, the Seaborne Freight contract has been cancelled.
"This cannot go without consequence. The Chris Grayling catalogue of calamities grows bigger by the day.
"This contract was neShadover going to work but this Secretary of State, true to form, blunders from one disaster to another.
"Whilst Theresa May needs the few friends she has right now, we cannot have this incompetent Transport Secretary carry on heaping humiliation after humiliation on our country. He has to go."
It has been suggested the Mr Grayling couldn't organise a "Piss Up in a Brewery ".
Certainly he can't organise the transport, but his other colleagues seem to have created a situation where even if we got there the Brewery  is not open to UK Nationals and we are told there is no real alternative.

In desperation  Brexit-backing Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg questioned whether Leo Varadkar's Irish Government had any influence on Arklow's decision which appears to be Dutch firm.
He told the Daily Telegraph:
"One has to hope that the Irish Government has not leant on or put any pressure on Arklow to persuade it to pull out.
"That would be a very unfriendly act of a neighbour to obstruct no-deal preparations and one has to hope very sincerely that this is genuinely a corporate decision."
That's more or less going to be the Brexiters excuse  after we crash out of the EU with No-Deal .

It will include

  • It was Europe's Fault for not agreeing to our demands.
  • The opposition parties are responsible for No-Deal for not backing Mrs May's without question
  • The European are interfering in any trade with the UK and Non-EU countries.
  • It is Ireland that created a Hard Boarder .
  • Remainers are sabotaging any move to find alternative markets
  • "Project Fear"has created the shortages because their negativism has led tom people storing food.

Exactly like the shady operators on BBC's "Watchdog"  who blame Third Parties but  still promise they can sort out the complaints  often blaming the consumer they ripped off , the Tories will not accept any Blaim

Don't however think that they will not succeed in their stabbed in the back scenario.

Backed by a increasing right wing media and a BBC who have clearly thrown impartiality out of the window, there will be no door stopping Spiv Tories on their doorstep and along with , the media pushing the stabbed in the back agenda.

Even as the UK burns we will see an even more Racisist  UK looking for scapegoats and the first victims will be immigrants , but there will be other scapegoats

As we see opem fascist on our streets , those of us who have opposed Brexit may well remember
Martin Niemöller chilling word
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

The chilling words are very, very prescient.
