Cardiff Creep hits Pontyclun?

There Was a By election for the Cefnyrhendy ward on Pontyclun Community Council and the result was surprise to say the least
Lab 245
Con 227
PC 95.

Plaid have in the past ben a force in Pontyclun and untill 201 2 held both of the Cointy Council seats on Rhondda Cynon Taf.

If they were to regain them next year then we should have expected a better result than the above  espicially as they had a bery good candidate in Emyr Wiliams.

So where did this Conservative surge come from?

The 2012 Result seems to offer no indication of a strong Tory Base

Is it a result of a Good candidate, The Tories current position in the Polls, and Anti-corbyn backlash or Cardiff Creep the phenomena of Middle Clas Tories and Lib Dems  moving out of the Capitol into areas like Pontyclun where commuting is easy.

Is this a cause for concern well the above result seems to point to this.

Plaid may have a cause for concern here if they wish to regain its position in Rhondda Cynon Taf next year
