Apologises to Percy Bysshe Shelley

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: "a vast  bloc of stone
Stand in the the former  lLabour Party HQ
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And faded promises of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:
And on the ston these words appear:
'My name is  Eddymandias Labour Leader :
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away"

And the VOICE said unto Ed, Come up to me into Number 10, and be there: and I will give thee a tablet of stone, and a lawn, and policies which I have written; that thou mayest break them. And Ed rose up, with his minister Balls: and Ed went up into Number 10.

Always loved this poem. Fair play Glyn, this is a stroke of genius - unlike Ed's tablet.

"I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land"

Ed, grant that Labour
May by thy mighty aid
Victory bring.
May they sedition hush and like a torrent rush,
Rebellious Scots to crush.
God save the Labour Party
