Jac O' the North joins far right in Cultural Marxism diatribe.

Sadly it comes as no surprise to me that Jac O' the North who writes a Blog claiming to be Interpenetrating Wales from a "Right of Centre Nationalist Perceptive" has  coined an article The Synthesis of Colonialism and Cultural Marxism in Wales.

I have read Jac regularly and whilst I often disagree with him , I have admired his extensive research, and exposure of corruption in Wales.

The problem has always been that he concentrates  all to often on the corruption coming from incomers to Wales and ignoring the truth that we Welsh are perfectly able to carry out much of the dishonesty he has been exposing ourselves.

As the late Gwyn Alf Williams (someone I expect Jac is not a fan off )often pointed out

"It's the Bloody  Welsh that is the problem".

His latest piece   however  is particularly worrying as he writes

I had planned a fuller article before I take myself off for a few days, but what with grandchildren staying over the weekend, and the football season now underway, I’ve had less time available than I’d hoped, and so I offer instead this little piece in which I consider one of the absurdities of twentieth century Wales.

One of many absurdities of course. far right who descripe him as

Let’s begin by establishing our parameters.

Most people on the left would argue that colonialism is an unequal relationship between European, Christian or white peoples on the one hand, and other races or cultures on the other, and that support for colonialism exposes a rightist – even racist – outlook. I say no; any relationship in which one country or people is ruled and exploited by another country or people qualifies as colonialism.
For this leftist interpretation often ignores white on white colonialism, and almost always ignores non-white on white colonialism, such as Turkish rule over large areas of Christian Europe from the sixteenth century up until the twentieth.
Cultural Marxism, that creature of the 1960s, is the leftist control of discourse and dialogue to the extent that certain subjects become taboo, certain words are forbidden, and freedom of expression is curtained to the advantage of the left. Often known as political correctness it is a form of censorship. It is dictatorial.
Cultural Marxism generally refers to one of two things:
  1. First — extremely rarely — "cultural Marxism" (lower C, upper M) refers to an obscure critique of popular culture by the Frankfurt School, framing culture as being imposed by a capitalist culture industry and consumed passively by the masses.
  1. Second — in common usage in the wild — "Cultural Marxism" (both uppercase) is a common snarl wordused to paint anyone with progressive tendencies as a secret Communist. The term alludes to a conspiracy theory in which sinister left-wingers have infiltrated mediaacademia, and science and are engaged in a decades-long plot to undermine Western culture. Some variants of the conspiracy alleges that basically all of modern social liberalism is, in fact, a Communist front group.
This conspiracy theory hinges on the idea that the Frankfurt School wasn't just an arcane strain of academic criticism.[note 1] Instead, the Frankfurt School was behind an ongoing Marxist plot to destroy the capitalist West from within, spreading its tentacles throughout academia and indoctrinating students to hate patriotism & freedom. Thus, rock'n'rollSixties counterculture, the civil rights movement, the anti-war movement, homosexuality,[1]modern feminism, and in general all the "decay" in the West since the 1950s are allegedly products of the Frankfurt school.[2] It's also the work of the Jews.[3][4]The conspiracist usage originated in Nazi Germany, where Kulturbolschewismus ("Cultural Bolshevism") was used to abuse political opponents. In particular, Jews purportedly were secretly orchestrating the spread of Communism (Jewish BolshevismWikipedia's W.svg) as well as promoting sexual & gender permissiveness ("sexual Bolshevism").[5]If anyone rants about "Cultural Marxists taking over culture!", feel free to remind them that they're spouting literal Nazi propaganda updated for the modern era.

It is no coincidence that including Ukip  three party members joined  thugs chanting Donald Trump's name and wearing 'Make Britain Great Again' caps who  trashed  left-wing bookshop cited their opposition to "Cultural Marxism".

Indeed it is ironic for Jac to compare "Cultural Marxism" to political correctness as it is a means of hiding the truth that critics include those who want a free hand to  spout Racist, homophobic and Sexist language.

It is the language of Trump supporters in the US who attack "Liberals" and think his election has given White Supremacists  the green light to abuse minorities  and to march under Nazi flags.

It is the language of Tommy Robinson a vile right wing thug, who with the support of American who describe him as "Human Rights  Activist!" read and weep.

It is the language of the new Welsh  Ukip Gareth Bennet who on the Burka row  said it showed an unwillingness to integrate and called for a debate on the issue, adding: "It feels like I'm in Saudi Arabia but in Cardiff, in Canton."

It is the language of William Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson who have deliberately  instigated the  Burka row to aid them in their bid to take the Tories further to the right (yes it's possible) and oust Theresa May.

Over the years I have joined other Welsh and Scottish  Nationalists  with Greens, Liberals and those on the various shades of red on the left in fighting, the right and discrimination.

Not all have supported me in an Independent Wales, but sometimes allies have different views and priorities.Beyond his group of Right Wing Welsh Nationalists who are Jac's allies? I suspect none .

But if he continues to spout the views of the so called Alt Right , then he is in danger of being labelled along with them.

I count myself as an allies of Jac, and I fail to see any evidence of “racist, homophobic and sexist language” in what he writes on his blog. If you do, please point it out. The only recent examples I’ve seen of such language of late has been from Carolyn Harris MP (Labour), Gareth Bennet AM (Ukip) and Helen Mary Jones AM (Plaid Cymru). To make a sweeping statement to try to connect Jac’s views with Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson is just stupidity on your part. As for your comparison to Tommy Robinson (EDL) I ask you to withdraw that comment. Jac has on a number of occasions exposed such creatures who have chosen to hide or have been moved to Wales by the criminal justice system. You should apoligise.

Touchy lot you right-wingers aren't you? I don't think there was any attempt to directly accuse Jac of any of the things you mention, but merely point out that those things are the stock in trade of those who subscribe to the use of 'Cultural Marxism' as a snarl word. Jac may, or may not use such language, but it remains that by using the label of Cultural Marxism as a vehicle Jac has put himself on the firing line as someone sympathetic at least to the kind of language used by the far right conspiracy theory crackpots.

Jac may well condemn the likes of Tommy Robinson, as he represents the English extreme right, but I do sometimes wonder if Jac would condemn someone engaged in similar behaviour on the exteremes of the Welsh right, or merely stay conveniently silent?

This post, correctly in my opinion, critcises Jac's use of the term, and I'm neither alarmed, or surprised that Jac has written such a post, as it has been on the cards for a while. It's also very bad timing, what with the immanent launch of Ein Gwlad, it's really going to look great that one of the prime movers and shakers in that movement allies himself with the assorted nutjobs of the right.

Jac has been crassly stupid in using this term but also seemingly also adopting the rhetoric of the far right.

Had Jac not dressed his article in the terms of the far right, no-one would have seen anything more untoward than it being anything other than Jac's usual, misplaced and myopic, tilt at the left in general. I used to view Jac as something of a rather curmudgeonly pensioner somewhere on the slightly deranged right, but this latest post of his, perhaps this needs to be reconsidered.

Jac has referred to Pussy Riot as 'slappers', to Chris Bryant as a 'fairy', but perhaps it was a fan of his who referred to Jac's English neighbour as an 'Anglo twat.'

The 'All too Human' site claims that Jac retweets the 'thoughts' of continental Neo Nazis. His attitude to disabled people is no worse than that of our current Conservative government, but it is still bad.

While attacking Tim Saunders on the 'Tim of the South' site, Jac said 'I hate Socialism.' He also claimed to hate those Welsh ntionalists for whom Labour is their next favourite party.

He supports racially preferential allocation of housing. If he attacks corruption from English but not Welsh sources, that appears to be implicitly racist. His allusions to 'Israeli crooks' are disturbing. It's not that Israeli crooks don't exist, but it's probably an outbreak of anti-Semitism in this case.

Note that he objects to the proscription of certain words -racist words I suppose -as an attack on freedom of speech but famously deletes comments that disagree with him.

Let me finish by saying that een his 'investigatie' pieces are of no value as they are not based on evidence but on paranoia. While rubbishing Tim Saunders, he specifically denied that he had to adduce evidence. He thought the insistence on evidence a 'silly' personal quirk of Tim'. We must conclude that Jac's site has no merit, and could be dangerous.
