I don't see that they are the problem and also I don't see what criticising them achieves. I also don't really understand why or how they are over-paid.

News is a public service (in my opinion). Privatisation has attempted to undermine this concept but it's true. You get what you pay for. BBC is cutting back, simple as that. BBC Wales is losing capacity to report stories, same as Trinity Mirror.

I always say the problem isn't the Welsh media, it's the fact we don't have enough of it.

With such a void, blogs in Wales do have extra value (regardless of content) compared to blogs in England or indeed Scotland. I think if you blog regularly and say relatively interesting things, decision-makers and journalists will read your blog in Wales.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2133809191630290599.post-24142138811585854632012-10-22T09:01:41.163+01:002012-10-22T09:01:41.163+01:00Good blog - there we go, more Welsh news by Welsh ...Good blog - there we go, more Welsh news by Welsh bloggers than by the over-paid 'journalists' at BBC 'Wales'.

Thanks Glyn.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
